First Meeting:

It was a good start to the new PLC. We got the Oculus Rift Dev2 working at lunchtime too!

The PLC this time is even more embedded in other schools and other projects.

Laura Thorpe, who teaches at Trinity Fields, gave a talk and demonstration on our school project using eyetracking technology to assess pupils' cognitive abilities. All the information with videos can be found here. The main findings for the PMLD group will be going up soon and we will be starting the ASD element of the project in the Autumn 2 term as well.

Josh at Analysis Pro then gave the group an overview of video analysis, how it works and what it can do. We are using the Codimg program for the project. Although mainly used in sports the technology and processes are now moving into education.

Andrew Walker from Exeter House School talked about how they had used Codimg in their school for analysing Intensive Interaction sessions. To get a full overview of the project so far look here. The project is restarting in November 2014.
